Impact

Washington, D.C. is one of the most globally connected cities in the United States, yet many young people growing up in the city, particularly girls of color from under-resourced communities, have limited opportunities to experience the world beyond their immediate surroundings. iFLY Youth addresses this experience gap by providing global learning opportunities that allow local youth to explore new cultures and languages while developing a deeper understanding of their own identity and the role they play in their community and the broader world.

In 2025, iFLY Youth produced our first formal Impact Report. This report evaluated scholar development across our 13 outcome areas, including leadership, confidence, global awareness, community engagement, and emotional growth. The findings from this report have helped us identify both strengths and opportunities for growth
