We are so glad you’re interested in applying for the Camp iFLY 2026 program. Camp iFLY is more than a summer program; it’s a chance to explore new places, build meaningful friendships and discover your potential. Please make sure you have read all the application requirements below before applying. All applications must be submitted by January 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST. 

Eligibility

  • Current 6th-8th grader (2025-2026 school year), living in either Washington, D.C., Maryland or Northern Virginia.
  • Must be able to apply for and obtain an American Passport. (We will cover the cost of your passport).
  • Should demonstrate financial need. Examples include enrollment at a Title I school, receiving free or reduced lunch, and/or being raised in a low-income household.
  • Must be able to attend pre-camp sessions AND the 3-week camp in July AND the international trip to Belize.

Selection Timeline

    • Application Opens: December 15, 2025
    • Application Closes: January 20, 2026
    • All applicants will be notified of their status by February 3, 2026
    • Interviews will take place on February 7th and 8th.
    • Selected Candidates Notified by February 13, 2026

Program Dates & Location

Pre-Camp Session Dates: 

    • Scholar & Parent Orientation: March 21, 2026 (in-person)
    • Scholar pre-camp session 1: April 11, 2026 (in-person)
    • Scholar pre-camp session 2: April 22, 2026 (virtual)
    • Scholar pre-camp session 3: May 16, 2026 (virtual)
    • Scholar pre-camp session 4: May 27, 2026 (in-person)
    • Scholar pre-camp session 5: June 10, 2026 (virtual)
    • Scholar transition ceremony: June 27, 2026 (in-person)

Camp Dates:

    • Week 1: July 6-9
    • Week 2: July 13-16
    • Week 3: July 20-23
    • Time: 9:00am-3:00pm (Breakfast & Lunch are provided)
    • Location: We are still finalizing the location for our day camp, but it will be in Washington D.C.

Belize Trip Dates

July 25 - August 1, 2026 

Program Fees

iFLY Youth was founded to provide underserved girls of color the opportunity to experience international travel at an affordable cost. As an organization, we are committed to covering the majority of the camp and trip expenses, but all participants are required to fundraise and/or contribute $1000 towards their trip.

    • Participants will be provided with fundraising resources.
    • Full payment is due by July 3, 2026.
